Troubleshooting
Network connection errors
Expired connection link, refused authorization, no Page available: the errors when connecting a network and how to fix them.
Connecting a network is the step that fails most often. The authorization involves three parties: your browser, the network and Sofia, and each one can interrupt the flow.
“This connection link has expired”
You see it when coming back from the network, or as “Connection not found” for Facebook and LinkedIn: the connection link is invalid or has expired.
What it means: the connection link has a limited lifetime. An old link is no longer accepted, and you have to start again from Sofia.
To fix it
- Open Sofia in a single tab, in a fresh browser session.
- Restart the connection from “Social networks”, “Connect a network”. Do not bookmark or refresh the network’s authorization page.
- If your browser is in private browsing, or an extension blocks cookies, switch to a normal window.
“… refused the connection”
The full message: the network refused the connection, and the problem comes from Sofia, not your account. Try again later. If the authorization does not go through (“… was not connected”), go back to your conversation or to “Social networks” to start again.
“The connection could not start”
Sofia could not reach the network to begin. Try again in a moment; if it persists, the network is probably unavailable.
“No Pages available”
For Facebook, your account manages no Page. Create a Facebook Page, or ask its administrator to give you that role, then restart the connection. The network asks you to tick the Page to entrust to Sofia, and only one can be connected.
Requirements of each network
| Network | What you need |
|---|---|
| A professional account (Creator or Business), linked to a Facebook Page. Switch it to a professional account in Instagram, then reconnect. | |
| Be an administrator of the Page. | |
| For a Page, be its administrator. LinkedIn asks you to choose where Sofia publishes. | |
| X, TikTok | Be signed in to the right account in this browser: the authorization applies to the open account. |
“Permission missing” and “Token expired”
The account is linked, but Sofia can no longer publish. “Permission missing”: the account did not give Sofia the right to publish. “Token expired”: the network ended the access, often after a password change. In both cases, click “Reconnect” and accept all the permissions requested. Scheduled posts resume on their own.
