Get started
Schedule your first post
From an empty account to a scheduled post in five steps: get in, connect a network, write, schedule it and confirm it went out.
This guide runs the whole loop once: get into Sofia, connect a network, write a post, schedule it, then check that it went out.
Step 1: Get into Sofia
Create your account at app.sofia-post.com. You start with a free trial, no credit card needed, see The free trial.
Sofia then guides you step by step: “Networks”, “Establishment”, “Brand”, “Sofia profile” and “Control”. For “Brand”, give your website address: Sofia analyzes it and shows you what it found before applying it. Without a site, choose “By hand”. At the “Control” step, choose “Needs approval” to review everything before it goes out, or “Automatic” to let Sofia publish. You can change your mind whenever you want, in the settings.
Once set up, you land on Home.
Step 2: Connect a network
A connected account is a social network account linked to Sofia: an Instagram professional account, a Facebook Page, a LinkedIn profile or page. Everything else in Sofia relies on it.
- Open the list of networks. In the menu, “Social networks”, then “Connect a network”.
- Choose a network. Sofia tells you what she will be able to do and what the network asks for, then sends you to the network’s official page to give your approval. See Connect a network.
- Check that it appears. The account shows up in “Social networks” with the “Active” status. Another status, such as “Token expired”, means it needs to be reconnected.
Step 3: Write the post
Click “New post”, or a slot in the calendar to start at that time.
- Choose the accounts to publish on, under “Publish to…”. The composer opens one card per network.
- Let Sofia write. Click “Write with Sofia”, optionally with a word on “What is this post about?”. She writes one text per network in your tone. To adapt one, edit its card, see One text per network.
- Add media from your device or the media library.
- Check the format of each card. Each format tells you whether it “Needs an image”, “Needs a video” or “Can go out without media”.
The preview shows the post as it will appear on each network: the fastest way to spot a broken line break or truncated text.
Step 4: Schedule it
Choose when it goes out. Sofia first offers each account’s usual slots, and refuses a time that has already passed.
| Choice | What it does |
|---|---|
| Now | The post goes out right away |
| A date and time | The post is scheduled: it appears in the calendar until it goes out |
Review the “Who sees what, and when” step, then confirm. If you chose “Needs approval”, the post waits for your approval, in the “Approvals” tab, before going out. Each format says what it requires: see Validation errors.
Step 5: Confirm it went out
Back in the calendar, the post appears at its slot. After the scheduled time, it changes to “Published”, and “View online” opens the published version.
If it fails, the post gets the “Failed” status and the network gives its reason. “See the report” details it, and “Try again” relaunches it once the problem is fixed. The usual causes are an account to reconnect or a network rule that was broken, see Posting rules by network.
Where to next
