Calendar and posts
Moving and rescheduling posts
Drag and drop on the calendar: rescheduling a post, what happens to a post that already went out, and the “No date” tray.
To change a post’s time, drag its card to another slot in the calendar. A message confirms the move, with an “Undo” button to reverse it.
Dragging a scheduled post
Drag a scheduled post or a draft to another slot: it is rescheduled, with no confirmation since nothing has gone out yet. Depending on its status, the result differs:
| Card status | What happens |
|---|---|
| Scheduled | It goes out at the new time. |
| Draft | It stays a draft: nothing goes out until it is finished. |
| To review | It will only go out once reviewed. |
| Failed | Dropped on a slot, it becomes Scheduled: Sofia will republish it at that time. |
Past times are refused: a post cannot be dragged into the past, and it stays at its time.
Dragging a post that already went out
This is the case that needs attention, but Sofia settles it for you: a post that has already gone out is locked and cannot be moved. Its copy on the network stays unchanged.
Several posts at the same time
Posts scheduled at the same time move together, keeping the gaps between them. Sofia can also offer to space them out.
The “No date” tray
Posts without a date wait in the “No date” tray. Drag one onto the grid, or schedule it at the network’s next usual slot (see Posting time slots).
Bulk changes
To reschedule many posts, use the list of posts (see Post actions and statistics) or the Sofia API, which edits a post with PATCH /v1/posts/{id}.
