Creating posts
Images and video
Add photos and videos, the accepted formats and size, the video cover, and what to do when an upload fails or is rejected.
Where: in each network’s card, in the “Media” block.
Adding media
- Drop an image or a video on the block (“Drop your images or videos”).
- Choose an image or a video from your device.
- “From the library” takes a visual that is already stored, see Media library.
Limits and formats
| Type | Limit |
|---|---|
| Size | 40 MB maximum |
| Accepted formats | JPG, PNG, MP4 |
| Mixing | No photos and video in the same post |
Each network’s rules are stricter and vary a lot: some formats need an image, others a video, and the number of media files depends on the network. See Posting rules by network.
Removing media
The “Remove media” button removes the media from the post. During the upload, the composer shows “Uploading media…”.
Video cover
On TikTok, the composer lets you choose the video’s cover image. In the media library, a video’s viewer shows its key moments and offers “Set as cover”.
Uploads that fail
The file is rejected
The format is not in the list (JPG, PNG, MP4) or the file exceeds 40 MB. Convert or compress it, then drop it again.
Photos and video in the same post
The network does not publish photos and a video in the same post: keep the photos or the video.
The post fails although the upload succeeded
The media is fine, but it breaks a network rule: “Media rejected” or “Too many media”. Check the number and type of media files for the chosen format, then click “Try again” from the report. See Uploads and rejected media.
